Dice Kayek SS13 shooting / Making Off

Sunday 9th of September, a worth working sunday !
I started working for this brand that always intrigued me with its strong identity and history, Dice Kayek.
Half Turkish and half French, the brand is established in Paris and created by Ayse and Ece, the Dice Kayek sisters.
To introduce the brand for those who doesn't know it yet, I thought doing a making off of the shooting during my first steps in the company will be fun.
We just finished the sales period and it was pretty busy I must say, but really exciting ! The brand have loads of other really intersting projects to come  that I can't wait to share with you !
So here it is, hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did !

My Origami Jewellery lucky charm

Like Florence Welch would say, this is my best dress, the prints, the shape, the style, I love evrything about it, will look amazing with boots and a big jumper winter time !

Find it was a pain, found a M, got it altered, too bad it was now too small, could only put it on in the morning ..(empty belly) then the zipper broke.. would be too easy ! altered again... looks like it fits now ! Not to wear on a burger lunch day tho.. !

A word about the crab necklace coz I just love the brand, I met randomly one of the designer of the brand Origami Jewellery @ the Who's Next fair in Paris (Sept 2010), saw all their creation and adopted my crab. For those who never heard of them, you have to take a look at what they do, so as the name says it, the idea is based on japanese origami, but in jewellery, you'll check the famous origami rabbit or the parrot,  but they also have an amazing ring, that will soon be mine ! The website is in french, english, italian AND japanese so you have NO excuse !

DIY : Shiny collar

I keep buying white tops and shirts because I think to myself that it's an easy piece for everyday and especially for the office.. but in the end they all look the same..
So one day, during my fun-employment, I decided to make one of my white tops special (mostly coz it keeps me busy and relaxed) and here's the result ! it's not just a white shirt anymore !
For that you dont need anything more than :
- White thin sewing thread or even better embroidery floss
- Costume stones, try to chose different size and shapes (transparent or color)
- A verry thin embroidery needle
- Your white top (obviously)
- A lot of patience

Just follow your mood and imagination for the shape of the embroidery, and be generous on the number of stones ! make it shine and unique !

Super-position

Each summer, I reset my wrist style (and I'm sure I'm not the only one), winter doesnt inspire me that much for some reason..

This summer is the big revival of the beloved friendship bracelets I used to make when I was a kid.. I actually reconnected with this activity this year with my brand MINE

Add to that my obssesion of ethnic items (probably inspired by the environnement I live in), some thin gold chain bracelets and colored nails, here you go ! ready for summer !

I noticed these two beautiful creatures of style a week ago during Paris men's fashion week and just got super excited to share this shot.
Watching this picture sends me straight to another dimension, they almost look like they have come from another century - a mix of urban romantism and neo classicism - in fact, they hail from modern day Manchester, with style..

Not easy to wear XXL chains but this girl did it pretty well, and x2 is even better..
